Who we are…
At K. Films, we tell stories that step into the shadows of the human psyche. The relentless pursuit of unattainable goals. The draw of dangerous obsessions. The self-imposed psychological traps that can drive us to desperate, sometimes futile, acts of survival.
Our name is inspired by one of literature’s most enigmatic protagonists: ‘K.’ from Franz Kafka's novel The Castle. Believing he has been summoned to survey a mysterious castle, he finds himself trapped in a maddening web of bureaucracy and inexplicable denial – a reflection of the internal struggles our characters face.
Like K., they are psychologically complex, toiling with the anxieties and fears that lurk beneath the surface. Our goal is to bring to light the repressed emotions and hidden guilts that shape so much of what we do – the paths we choose, the compromises we make – particularly when confronted with the unforgiving realities of life.
Our worlds are dark, sometimes surreal and often humorous.
